"I bought this for my then, 8 y.o daughter at AG Place in NYC almost a year ago, and have been very pleased with it overall. We of course bought the matching doll outfit too, which is equally darling! This dress is really cute. The pictures just don't do it justice! There are so many girls clothes styles out there that are just too mature in my opinion, so I was really pleased to find this adorable age appropriate dress for my daughter. The fabric is soft but sturdy, and it is a beautiful plum color with thin pin stripes. The inside of the dress in lined with a satin/poly mix. The bodice is fitted and laces from the waist up (it is not adjustable) and the skirt flares into an a line and has a faux "flap" in the front that gives the illusion of a wrap around skirt. The back has a zipper. There is an AG label in purple on the hem line of the skirt. The green under shirt is a basic cotton long sleeved shirt. It is an olive green color and really brings out the plum purple color of the dress. The shirt also has an AG label on the arm (barely noticeable) The outfit has a very flattering shape, and my daughter says it is very comfortable and easy to move in. She loves to twirl around in it (note- the skirt really does twirl.. your daughter may want to wear bike shorts underneath!) The purple boots are not sold by AG, but can be found online. My daughter wears the outfit with knee high socks and Mary Jane shoes and it always looks cute. In the Spring/Summer, we swap out the green shirt with a short sleeved solid colored t-shirt. The outfit can be washed in a washing machine and has held up well through multiple washings, with minimal color fading. The purple dress has held up better than the green undershirt (which has a very slight bit of discoloring on the arms now.) My daughter loves wearing the outfit out and taking Elizabeth along in her matching outfit too! Yes, you can buy another undershirt if you think the green shirt is too pricey. However; I haven't seen this color in the stores around here. So if you are trying to match the dolls outfit, you might want to purchase one. As for sizing, it seems to run a tad small. My daughter is tiny. At 9 years, she is still in a size 6. I bought her the smallest size, 7 and it is already getting a little too short. Since the rest of the clothes I am now buying her are around a 6X, I assume this means that the dresses must run a bit small. I love the dress so much though, that I just ordered another one online last night. The shirt seems to fit true to size. The only complaints I have are that the dress wrinkles too easily in the wash, and needs to be ironed, and the sizing runs a bit small. Other than that, I love the dress and recommend it to anyone with a dress wearing daughter under 12. Older than 12, I would make sure to get her opinion first!"

"This outfit is great my daughter loves it! It is very comfortable and cute! But The green under shirt is a little pricey I mean you could go get a green long sleeve tee identical to that one for five bucks any were else. That`s what I did I just bought the dress. And that purple will pretty much match with any color under it! The only other bad thing is It dosen`t fit your true size so your going to have to try on a couple differen`t sizes at the store but other than that I love this dress! Very cute! And the matching doll outfit is very cute to!"

"I bought this for my daughter who loved it the minute she saw it in the catalog. The quality is excellent (especially compared with the pajamas I have gotten from AG) and the look is cute! (my daughter did complain that the boots don't come in girl size!) The t-shirt is a bit expensive for what it is, but the value of the jumper is excellent! The overall outfit seems to run a tad on the big size, but as children grow, that is still ok."
